Onward L. Gardner

324th Medical Battalion

Onward L. Gardner son of Mr. Lloyd D. Gardner and Mrs. Emma Gardner was born on the 5th of March 1916 in North Carolina. After the war broke out Onward enlisted the 24th of November of 1942 at Ft Bragg (NC). He was attached to the 324th U.S. Army Medical Corps and trained at Camp van Dorn. Once arrived in Belgium he sadly became a casualty of war during the first days of the Battle of the Bulge.

We are currently busy to find out more about Pfc. Onward L. Gardner, and this tribute page will be updated accordingly. Via a private collector we received pictures of the helmet of Pfc Onward L. Gardner. (See pictures below)
