Lt. Col. Henry B. Koon Sr.  (Division Chaplain)

The men of the 99th Infantry Division will forever be indebted to this heroic Soldier without a gun.

Chaplain Koon gave strength and comfort for the fighting men from the Division during some of the darkest hours of their lives, and for many, in the final hours of their lives.

TO EVERY MAN UPON THIS EARTH
DEATH COMETH SOON OR LATE.
AND HOW CAN MAN DIE BETTER
THAN FACING FEARFUL ODDS,
FOR THE ASHES OF HIS FATHERS
AND THE TEMPLES OF HIS GODS

***** DEDICATED TO ALL WHO SERVED *****
